The New Home

As many of you know from previous posts we have just bought our first home. Quick description of the neighborhood that I love (although I recognize that this kind of community is not every one's cup of tea.)It is called Southwood, and it is a very family orientated (AND GOLF) community, we love all our neighbors and everyone is so friendly. We feel so safe here, and the parks and trails are amazing, we can't wait to raise a family here. I have been promising pictures of the new digs and so without further ado here they are, there are quite a few but I wanted to make sure that I got all the good points ( in my point of view of course.)HOME SWEET HOME!

This is what you see as soon as you walk in the door, we really try to live our life together following that sentiment.

Foyer, and the lady holding the tray was at our wedding holding mints, and my mommy and I named her Charlotte. Apparently we are like the most narcissistic couple ever because all the pictures of are us. Haha

This is one corner of the living room, my reading and knitting chair, I searched and searched for the perfect comfy chair.

Krayton of course had to have the biggest couch ever but we love it, we cuddle up and watch TV and sometimes I can even talk him into rubbing my feet.

I was hard to get a good picture of the kitchen but I love it , I love the counter tops they have silver shards in them and they are so pretty. I also love the glass tile back splash, once it was finally installed it made the biggest difference.

The next thing to find is a bigger dining room table, but this one does just fine for now. The love the light fixture which I found at West Elm for a steal of a deal, Krayton was very excited since the other ones we were deciding between were about 5 times the price.

We had to have this saying in our master, we do not go to sleep without a kiss, and an I love you, even when Krayton is out of town on business.

Master bedroom, including his and hers closets (thank goodness), I love the area rug and you can't tell but the ceiling is painted a chocolate brown. The pictures above the bed are some of the sweetest pics from the wedding.

Master bathroom, not our favorite but we are so grateful for our home that we can deal. I hate the white counter tops, YUCK! They are impossible to keep clean and when you are slightly OCD about cleanliness it can become troublesome.

Powder Room downstairs.

The husband's office, this room is still a work in progress but he loves having a space all his own, well except for my Pilate's machine which he thought if he put in his office I would be more inclined to use.

Junk Room, this is where we put all the stuff we are unsure where else to put. God willing this will someday be a nursery.

Upstairs Guest Bathroom, nothing exciting.

This is my office nook, I meal plan here and search for recipes and I do my sewing here, I love having a space for that.

So it may seem weird to have a picture of the laundry room but I am so in love with our washer and dryer. I love the color and I love doing laundry now, plus it has a allergiene cycle, and that is so cool for a sickly girl like me. If anybody is in the market for a new washer and dryer the LG steam ones are amazing and I highly recommend them.
