Baby's First Haircut!

By baby of course I mean a 3.5 year old who has never once had scissors near his hair. I loved those long, blonde, sometimes shaggy baby curls. It was one of the last baby things about him. Yes everybody called him a "beautiful girl," yes his hair bothered him most days, but I did not care I loved them!

But I knew it was time, it probably had been time a while ago. So when Aunt Rachael came down from NYC to take care of Blake and I while Daddy was away a few days we discussed cutting his hair. When it really came down to it I still was not ready and tried to back out, that however did not work with my husband and sister both insisting it was time.

I sobbed and sobbed and sobbed, like chest heaving sobs for the whole day. I would never play with those baby curls again and it hurt.

Now I feel much better, he is still gorgeous and loves his short hair. But for this pregnant mama it was a rough day!

He actually did a lot better than I expected, he played on the phone and ate cookies.

Easter 2013

Easter this year was a little different, by Easter I was on bed rest and unable to do anything really (minus watch a lot of The Bible mini series, so good!) All festivities were up to Daddy and Memaw and I could only observe.

Dying eggs with Daddy in his underwear of course, the kid hates clothes!
He was all about it this year, and asked to color more eggs the next day. Which they did.

 From the Easter Bunny.
Come time for the easter egg hunt Blake was more interested in hanging out and playing on his swing set.

Until he realized the Easter Bunny had stuffed the eggs with toys.

This happened to be the first time in weeks I had even picked up my camera.

Our Two February Holidays....

Valentine's Day!

And Daddy's Birthday!

Another Disney Trip Feb 2013

That's right yet another post of Disney World Pictures.....

Some are just too cute not to remember.

 Just chilling in Fantasy Land

This is what happens when we talk about how funny Figment is....

He says "Figment he's soooo funny"

 A good shopper for sure

Serious work on Toy Story Mania

Shopping in Williams Sonoma though induces sleep

Blake loves loves loves the Donald Duck three amigos ride, we usually ride it at least 3 times and so this will more than likely be his birthday party theme.

Now Mommy loves the pastry shop in France ;)

St. Augustine Quick Getaway 2013

Memaw had a few more days of winter break left so we headed to St. Augustine for a few days.

 We did trolley tours.
 Headed to the Old Jail
And my usually go with the flow kid refused to go into the jail, he literally lost his mind when it was time for our tour. He started screaming at the top of his lungs when we even just attempted to enter the building, so not like him. He would not stop so we took turns taking the tour and staying outside with the kid. I have always known Blake was very energy sensitive and whatever was in that old jail was not vibing well with him and he let us know. After speaking with the tour guide he says he has adults that have bad reactions to the place and so he believed Blake could obviously feel some bad energy and it was best he stayed away.
We did the big fort, where get this Blake liked the canons!

We also did Ripley's Believe It or Not right before our night time ghost tour. After Blake's experience at the Old Jail the day before Blake and I hung out on the trolley when they did the walk around haunted place things.

The kid loves a hotel!

The last day we did some shopping and found a place with a million different kinds of french fries!

Thrilled with the shopping excursion, just like Daddy!

The Big Announcements!!!

Here is how it all went down.....

Krayton and I had been discussing trying for baby #2 for months and months but neither of us were ever really quite ready to pull the trigger yet. Then in October we decided WE ARE READY, we will start trying in November. Well God had other plans and towards the end of October I knew something was up.... One pregnancy test later and there ya go. We have been blessed with easy conceptions and fertility, and for that we are forever grateful.

Blake however has not been thrilled from day 1, he will just say "NO" if you try discussing the baby in Mommy's tummy and although we know it will be an adjustment for him, he will be happy to have a sibling to share his life with eventually.

This is the announcement we put on social media.

The day we found out we would be welcoming a baby girl into the family Krayton and I were both shocked. We both thought boy and even wrote it on our guesses papers before the ultrasound. Thrilled doesn't even cover it, many people thought it was a girl since I had been so so sick in the beginning and I  really had nothing close to that while pregnant with Blake. We headed straight for Target to buy our first baby girl item, and teeny tiny pair of girly socks and a headband.

Merry Christmas 2012

There is a definite shortage of pictures compared to past years but constant nausea will do that to ya. Christmas was amazing as usual and we were all so happy that Aunt Rachael could come down from NYC to spend it with us.

We did run into one snag this year, there is nothing to buy for this kid! That is our fault, we are over indulgent parents and he never leaves a store without something. This is a problem we need to address we know!

Anyway onto the goods...

Christmas Eve we made cookies, and due to the rainy weather had to forgo our smores by the fire pit.

Blake opened his Christmas Eve gift.

Husband and sister got down to serious work decorating those cookies.

Christmas Morning....Santa brought Blake a teepee and lots of Disney goods.

 Tearing into that stocking

 Enjoying his teepee

Blake really loved the tearing opening gifts part this year and as usual we took breaks so it took a while!

Thanks to Memaw we get to enjoy the glorious sounds of a three year playing an accordion. FUN!

Great Christmas and next year will be double the fun I am sure!
