17 Months (Really Late)

Oh my goodness this is so late, the picture isn't but the post is so late that within a week we will be at the 18 month post....anyway he we go!

Blake at 17 months....
1. Bedtime has become a struggle where he no longer just nurses to sleep he nurses and then sits up and wants to talk usually about Buzz Lightyear.
2. He has realized that if he signs and says eeeeeassseee (Please) it's so stinking cute he can get almost anything.
3. Still loves books more than anything
4. Has such a nurturing personality and is very compassionate...at music class one of the little boys starting crying Blake walked over to him and gave him a hug and then put the little guys head on his chest. Needless to say all the mamma's were saying ahhhhhh and I was near tears. Another example we still do family showers and daddy always reads the bath time books and recently he wants me too so he handed me the book and I handed it to Krayton to read and he took it back and gave it to me Krayton made a pouty face towards me and then Blakey patted Krayton's back and looked at him as to say "it's ok daddy"
5.Loves Loves Loves to color and draw and write and often says random letters while he is doing it

25 Days of Christmas Part 2

We attended the Festival of Lights which is essentially just a parade and fair food, gotta be honest I enjoyed the food more than anything including my favorite part fried oreos!!! It was cold and I love seeing my little pumpkin in a hat.

He was ready to go home as the parade was winding down.

I'm all about traditions and last we started the picture with a mall Santa followed by a trip to build a bear.
He was all about running around the store....UNTIL.......
He spotted the computers if you know Blakey you know he loves computers! In the end we made a bear and dressed him in a woody outfit, boots and all,
The picture with Santa did not go so well, last year he was all smiles this year he was all tears. I figure it's the age and well hey everybody should have one of these pictures.

Elf is my all time favorite Christmas movie and I could wait to share the experience with Blakey now that he actually watches movies. So we had bath time and let him stay up late and watch Elf and enjoy some gingerbread cookies and apple cider all of which he enjoyed thoroughly.

25 Days of Christmas Part 1

Oh boy I am way behind in my posting but I have tried to really enjoy the holiday season and all it brings and thus blogging has fallen behind sorry.... So I figured I would do all our holiday festivity posts in parts and this is the beginning.
It got very cold here very fast and so the baby uggs that memaw insisted bubby have have been getting plenty of use.
We also do a lot of this... cuddling in our big white fluffy warm bed usually watching Disney Jr or PBS.

Our friends Muki and Suzanne decided they were going to cut down their own tree and so we tagged along to the Christmas Tree Farm. Blake loved riding on the heavy duty golf cart that none of us really ever figured out how to drive.
 Running and falling Blake's speciality.

He got his hands on a stick and was measuring the trees just like Muki.

 The Winner!

Since I was a child I have been allergic to real trees (puffy eyes, sneezing, sleepy, etc) and so my family and husband have always done without the special real tree experience. But this year while at toddler yoga the real tree bothered me none and so we decided to give it a shot. Mind you we had already put up our fake tree and decorated it but my husband was all for replacing it and so off we went to pick a tree a Tallahassee nursery. I would like to say that if you have a hard time picking the perfect box of tea on a grocery store shelf because the box can't be bent and you may be mildly OCD and type A picking a tree can prove to be almost painful, spoken as that exact person.

Aunt Rachael met us there and this picture cracks me up it looks like they are in the midst of a deep conversation.
This is his Christmas shirt for the year and I thought it was perfect for picking his first real tree, I wanted a picture of him on top of the car next to the tree on the roof but he was quite over it by this time. If you like this shirt go here she can do anything and is so sweet to boot.

Thanksgiving 2010

This was Blake's second Thanksgiving and was especially exciting since he now eats table food. My mom and cooked and cooked and I planned a Pioneer Woman Thanksgiving, and her brine recipe was perfect! My mom and Krayton said it was my best turkey ever. I made her soul sweet taters too for Blake since he loves sweet potatoes and he did not care for them I was so upset, but whatever. I loved his outfit!!!! His first blazer ;) He looks like such a big boy business man with my mom's phone and his ipad.

I have no idea where his phone tendencies come from???? (Krayton maybe)

He loved the turkey and that was about it...he then decided he preferred some hummus and lentil chips.

When bath time came around I undressed him and went to do something quickly and I found him naked relaxing in his chair, most have been all that turkey.

Fair Fun

We headed to the fair recently....now the last time I went to this fair years ago I stopped eating meat afterwards for almost a year because I looked in the eyes of a cow and it stayed with me, so I was hoping I could keep it together this time. Blake had a blast...

He loved the petting zoo area and was not scared of anything, big or small

I loved this guy...how stinking cute is he

This was essentially Blake's face the entire time we were in the petting zoo

They had tractors and such to sit on... he also loved that and was into steering and shifting the gear shifter thingy

Of course we played some games and so we ended up with a bit of stuff for daddy to carry

Daddy won a goldfish but after carrying it around I decided that 1. I felt bad for the lonely fishy and wanted him to have a friend 2. I did not want to deal with taking care of a fish.... so we searched and searched for the perfect kid to give our fish too, a kid who had won another fish , was super excited , and buying the supplies to take care of them. The kid was so happy to have another fish, I wanted a pic of Blake with the fish but he was not interested

Halloween Festivities 2010

This Halloween was an exciting one since Blakey is walking! He was a puppy and if you ask me the cutest stinking puppy ever. We started our festivities on Friday at our community Fright Night, we met our friends there and ran into so many people we like from around the neighborhood.
My mommy bought me this witch last year and she is my favorite decoration she's so cute to me! On to the good stuff......

Blakey was a little tired of being in his costume and keeping his hat part on was a challenge at first.
I am in love with this picture!!!

Blake's date for the night ;)

We of course had to watch Charlie Brown's Great Pumpkin and this year Blake loved it.

Sunday (Halloween) we carved pumpkins and hung around the house

Come trick or treating time and bubby was a little irritated that we put him back in his costume.

 His first trick or treat!!!

After trick or treating it was back home to hang out with Aunt Rachael and get some water.
Of course he had to have some Halloween pjs and he is my pumpkin so these seemed perfect.
