Oh boy I am way behind in my posting but I have tried to really enjoy the holiday season and all it brings and thus blogging has fallen behind sorry.... So I figured I would do all our holiday festivity posts in parts and this is the beginning.
It got very cold here very fast and so the baby uggs that memaw insisted bubby have have been getting plenty of use.
We also do a lot of this... cuddling in our big white fluffy warm bed usually watching Disney Jr or PBS.Our friends Muki and Suzanne decided they were going to cut down their own tree and so we tagged along to the Christmas Tree Farm. Blake loved riding on the heavy duty golf cart that none of us really ever figured out how to drive.
Running and falling Blake's speciality.
He got his hands on a stick and was measuring the trees just like Muki.
The Winner!
Since I was a child I have been allergic to real trees (puffy eyes, sneezing, sleepy, etc) and so my family and husband have always done without the special real tree experience. But this year while at toddler yoga the real tree bothered me none and so we decided to give it a shot. Mind you we had already put up our fake tree and decorated it but my husband was all for replacing it and so off we went to pick a tree a Tallahassee nursery. I would like to say that if you have a hard time picking the perfect box of tea on a grocery store shelf because the box can't be bent and you may be mildly OCD and type A picking a tree can prove to be almost painful, spoken as that exact person.
Aunt Rachael met us there and this picture cracks me up it looks like they are in the midst of a deep conversation.
This is his Christmas shirt for the year and I thought it was perfect for picking his first real tree, I wanted a picture of him on top of the car next to the tree on the roof but he was quite over it by this time. If you like this shirt go here she can do anything and is so sweet to boot.
