The Mountain House

I am not a mountain hiking, water rafting, bug kind of girl. So when it was decided that my little sister would be officially moving to NYC, and that Mommy and Rachael would be spending a week at my Mom's mountain house in Ellijay, GA there was no option. Blake and I packed our mountain gear (you know goldfish, and the hunger games) and headed that way. We ended up having a great time and despite my constant checking for tick routine Blake enjoyed himself very much.
I still love his baby feet, even dirty

We found a baseball during a walk guess what happened next

 Yep straight into the river
There is a hot tub and the kid liked it quite a bit

Ok I have this thing where if there is a movie made of a book and I want to see the movie I have to read the book first, so I started reading The Hunger Games while there and if you have read it you know what tracker jackers are and I was beyond freaked out by these gigantic bees!!!

Lunch in Blue Ridge, if that is not the face of the poor lonely male shopping and eating with women all day I don't know what is.
The kid loves sticks and this was a score

Ahh stick sword fighting, thanks Memaw!

With my Mommy and Sister there and not much to do way up high in a mountain, I got quite a bit of porch, river watching, reading time.

 Throwing goldfish at the kayakers
Worst mother of the year award right here, I let him play rock climb with zero pants on
And throw rocks in the river sans pants

In the end I am glad we went and maybe maybe we will be back....maybe.....
