Blake Update: 26 months

Are you missing the monthly Blakey updates, I am kind of....so here is a quick update. Blake is just about 26.5 months old right now and we are heavy into "he makes his own choices era" ughhhhh. Its rough for sure.

1. He decided he would drop his nap altogether or take a nap and spend two hours going to bed that night. He actually ends up getting more sleep if he doesn't take a nap since he goes right to sleep at 7:30, but Krayton and I definitely miss him in the evenings :(
2. He is on some kind of eating strike and I believe he is a "fruitatarian". He will eat fruit all day every day, raspberries and strawberries being his favorite.
3. He is a rough and tumble, roughhousing, wrestling all American boy! He is so strong, he more than often beats me up unintentionally.
4. Despite all that he is so sweet and cuddly, he loves to give kisses and hugs and cuddle up in Mommy and Daddy's neck.
5. He was night weaned until a double ear infection /sinus infection/ cold side tracked us. Oh well back to square one..... (but he did make it without any croup attacks and thus we consider it a success)
6. He has a huge vocabulary and his receptive language is just fine, he understands what we say, now that doesn't mean he always listens, he suffers from that common male disease SELECTIVE HEARING! But he is not really putting sentences together to which he is doctor replied "that is probably your fault" awesome! Apparently I am too attentive to his needs too quickly and don't require him to use his words enough, a common problem he assures me. So we are working on that.
7. He still loves toy story but has found a new love in Kung Fu Panda, he always asks for "FU"

Blake calls coins "Hamm" which is due to Hamm the piggy bank from Toy Story. So he would get a coin and walk around saying "hamm, hamm" and we knew the kid needed a piggy bank. So I of course got him a Reed and Barton silver one ;) He actually has acquired three piggy banks by now but would you expect anything else. He will fill them and them empty them, over and over and over. For an hour at a time sometimes, and I am not allowed to help but he does like when I count them as he puts them in.

 Oh the concentration......
