Our Day in Video

I love this Flip I use it all the time and I feel like we are catching some great moments that we will be able to look back on and remember. Every morning Blakey wakes up, eats, and watches a little TV from his play yard and just relaxes while I eat some breakfast. He is all smiles in the morning and I decided to film a couple smiles, what I got was even better, he was all smiles and then just stopped it's so funny. He also loves to listen to music, he can be so upset and then hear music and be all better again. So I hooked up his iPod to his bouncer which has a input for an MP3 player and he loved it, and got the hiccups (and yes that is Dave Matthews Band playing on his iPod). His new thing is to talk back and fourth with us and I got a little of that too. We hung his first swing from our back porch and he loves it, I love it too since it's outside especially now that the weather is getting so pretty up here. So what we have is some of our daily routine in video...

First Swim

In our community we are lucky enough to have a great pool, especially for children. Our friends Laura and Alicia decided they wanted to go to the pool and invited us to come sit with them for a while. I put Blake in j-his cute swimming trunks and UV protective shirt, sunglasses, and hat, and some too cute Baby Gap flip flops. Our intentions for never to swim but to just visit with our friends, well the temptation was too much and we put Blake in the water with a Alicia the only one in a bathing suit. He loved it and enjoyed every second. Here is quick video and some cute pics... oh and a funny pic for anyone who has tried to let a baby boy "air out".

Too cute pool attire, love the shoes! ( By this time he had already gotten rid of the sunglasses)

Exhaustion after his swim

Just trying to let him go without a diaper for a while, and this is what happens

A Video from a Flip posted from a Mac? Maybe?

So I have this new computer ( not sure exactly how to use it) and a new Flip which fortunately is stupid proof, but I have had a time trying to figure out how to upload a video of little man for all of the family who doesn't live here to watch. So this is my first attempt at a iMovie using video from a Flip and uploading from the Mac. For most this video will be boring for those who love little Blakey it will be adorable. Enjoy! (maybe if it works), and please try to ignore my annoying voice. By the way the song playing on the blog makes me cry every time, even though he says "her" it is a universal song for new parents.

Blake At 2 Months.....

Blake is 2 months old, now we speak of age in months instead of weeks (but if your counting weeks like me he is 10.5 weeks old). So my plan is to every month take a picture with his huge bear to track growth as well as list some of the interesting things our pumpkin is doing now.

Blake at 2 months...
1. Has discovered his feet
2. Loves to dance in his play yard
3. Smiles when he pees in the sink while we get ready for his bath
4. Still loves to eat
5. Has begun to sleep longer and longer stretches at night more frequently
6. Knows what he wants when he wants it!
7. Is wearing size 2 diapers
8. Wears size 12 -18 months from Gap Baby (big and broad like his daddy)
9. Makes his exersaucer/bouncer bounce and play music on his own
10. Loves to be naked
11. Officially cutting back on his naps (thats one from Daddy)
12. I might be a bad mommy but he loves to watch Backyardigans ( I know TV, I think it's the singing and colors)

2 months

I bought this Ed Hardy outfit before the designer hooked up with Jon Gosselin ( I still get so upset about all of that) but he does look cute in it.

Looking at his feet again, except now they have puppies on them form his PJs
He is very happy in the morning

I just like this pic, he looks like a little rocker baby.

A Post of Firsts

**Okay so my very sweet husband has bought me a gift, a new MacBook Pro, unfortunately I have no idea how to work it, so I can not figure out how to move these pictures to the end of the post, which is why they are at the beginning. I obviously need a tutorial!

Blakey and his Daddy playing PS3 Tiger Woods, Krayton is such a good multitasker!

I made sure he wore his super baby onesie to get his first shot (see the little band aide)!

Cute monkey Wahmie cloth diaper.
Oh Panera how I love you!
At Japanika watching the chef with Daddy.

We have had a busy couple of weeks, and Blake has experienced many things for the first time in these last couple weeks. He went out to eat for the first time, at Japanika, a hibatchi style restaurant. I have been so nervous about germs that I refused to take him many places, but now that he is older 9.5 weeks and has a good amount of weight on him (14 lbs.) I figured it was time. He was so good as usual and enjoyed watching the chef cook on the hibatchi grill, from a far obviously. He also started his tummy time class, which is so fun. He loves to listen to the teacher sing songs, he is not the biggest fan of tummy time so we figured this would be a good way for us to learn some new techniques. We also went to Panera with the little man for the first time, Panera is my favorite place, I would eat there twice daily if I could. Once again he was good, even though it was pretty late for him around 8:00, he just slept in his sling while we ate, and then hung out with his Aunt Rachael while I enjoyed a delicious brownie. He also tried out his first cloth diaper, my plan was always to use cloth diapers but he was so small and pooped so much in the beginning it was too much trouble , now that he is more "regular" and bigger we are starting the transition to cloth diapers. On the other side of firsts, the not so fun side, he also had his first shot. He didn't even cry or flinch, his Daddy was so proud, and promised to buy him a great toy for being such a trooper. I on the other hand was not so lucky and just cried and cried. We also got some not so happy news at that appointment, Blake may need to have a minor surgery to repair a inguinal hernia. I was basically inconsolable by the point the news sunk in, but we are just trying to remember that it could be so much worse and trust that all will be okay. We go for a surgical consult soon so we will know more then. That's about it for now, the time is just flying by, and before we know it our little pumpkin butt, or moose, as we call him now, is another week older.
