The Waiting Game!!!

So I am 38.5 weeks pregnant and don't judge me BUT I'm ready to meet our Blakey! I am beyond the point of huge and highly uncomfortable not to mention that in the last week my feet seem to just keep getting bigger, they are hysterical to look at, ask my husband who laughs and laughs at them. We now call my fingers sausages and my rings are long gone. Being that this is our first child we have no idea what to expect in terms of it all, labor, baby care, etc. I am lucky to have a great support group surrounding us, my mommy will stay with us as long as we need, and I have many friends with expertise in child care, so all of you Shannon, Tori, Kailee expect some late night, early morning frantic calls for help! I have planned and made lists for everything you can imagine, it helps me cope with stress, and have implemented a household chore routine that I hear through the grapevine will not stand up next to a newborn. But a girl can hope right? I am officially done working which is exciting and scary all at the same time, and my poor husband who works from home has officially named me the "drill sergeant," he now wakes up at his usual time around 10ish ( that will be changing soon I imagine) and looks around the house for the infamous "to-do list" for the day. He is so patient with me, which my mother points out often, as I guess I have become slightly bossy and possibly a little irritable, I know hard to believe. I have been doing some sewing, the usual, nursing covers, burp cloths, bibs, etc., that seems to help relieve some stress. So that's where we stand as of now, my doctor says he does not believe I will make it to the due date as I was 2cm dilated and 80% effaced last Monday, but you never know. I go back tomorrow and we will see what the doc thinks then. Oh yea and thanks for a great July 4th everyone who came yesterday, I was so happy to have so many people we love at a cookout at our home and share such a special day with all of you! I was so absent minded yesterday I forgot to take any pictures but my Tori did so I will post them once she sends them to me, she is pregnant as well though so it may take a while. How about a picture of .... the pretty roses my husband got me for my birthday a couple days ago, and a picture of my husband who is still sleeping as I write this post at 10:45 am, and the 2 lazy dogs that only get out of bed when daddy does.
