Our beach boy is almost 3!

I seriously can not believe my baby is almost three! We headed to Mommy's beach cottage on Alligator Point and after looking at this pictures, it hit me HARD, he looks more like a little boy than a baby. Although I still see a lot of baby face there. This seemed like a good time to catch y'all up on what's new with the boy.

Blake at 2 3/4 years old-
*He's ginormous, and people always comment on long his legs look, which I don't see but I guess since I look at him constantly maybe
*He talks, talks, talks, oh and then talks! He loves to discuss movies, and shows, and all his favorite things, and prefers if you repeat what he says, kind of like making sure your understanding him right
*He has an amazing memory, to the point that Krayton and I are often a little weirded out by the things he remembers. He will watch a show, or movie, or you tube video once and the next time he watches it he will say what will be said before it's said always in perfect order. Same things with books, he says what happens right before we get to that part.
*He's continues to get the "oh boy he's gorgeous , your gonna be in trouble with him" comments. Thank you world I KNOW, I hope to raise a gentlemen who is kind to women and uses his beauty for good ;)
*The hair, oh the hair, still has never been cut! And is a constant point of discussion. To cut or not to cut that is the question.
*Picky eater doesn't really cut it, he is a non eater. One week he eats and eats, the next week he eats nothing. Even when presented with his favorites.
*He is not potty trained by any means, and until recently showed no interest. But Daddy has worked with him and what do you know, he will go number 1 and 2 in the potty. Now we just got to get him to tell us when he needs to go
*He is still rough with other kids, and even when trying to be nice and give hugs he is still rough. The kid has some serious tackling skills. I struggle with the preschool decision daily because of it, I know he would probably benefit from preschool but I don't want to give up one second with him. So we will see...
*He spells his name out loud B L A K and for whatever reason always leaves out the E.
*He basically knows his colors, and shapes, and can count to 12. (the thing is he has to be in the mood to show his skills, if he is not interested he will tell m wrong so I will leave him alone)
*He's spoiled it's true, and often requests visits to three places..
      "go to pool"
      "go bounce"
"go to target" (where as soon as we pull up he informs us he will be "picking new dvd")
And has recently added "go to park"
*Has recently discovered that if he says "memaw buy, memaw pay please" it's gonna happen
*He continues to not nap, and goes to sleep around 8.
*Don't judge but he still nurses, and weaning is a very long process here. It is heart breaking to say no to your baby when they ask for  "nah nah book" at bedtime. But slowly we are trying to gently wean the child who is obviously not going to wean himself as we had hoped. Nursing has been such a special time and bond for all of us, Krayton included as he quickly realized the joy it brought him and all of it's healing powers, and the last thing we want to do is taint it with a harsh weaning that leads to stress for the child.

Enjoy the pictures!

 He has it rough huh?

Mommy has an outdoor shower, he enjoyed that

A huge cookie for the drive home, this was my insurance policy no sleeping would be had in the car.
