On the road with Daddy in Orlando

Round here this is the busiest season as far as Daddy being away for business goes and so to keep the time apart at a minimum the boy and I travel with him part of the time and he comes home for a few days  so there is no huge amount of time we are apart. This was our first trip to be with Daddy and we headed to Orlando.

Besides loving being with Daddy Blake and I enjoyed our morning bagel together by the gorgeous fountains in our hotel, which was the Royal Pacific, our first time there and pretty fun. I didn't actually know Blake liked bagels until he grabbed mine and chowed down and so that's what we ate every morning we were there just him and me while Daddy worked.

Does your two year think everything is blocks for building, mine does and the boxes full of stuff in the hotel gift shop was too much to ignore for my little architect.

Pool time of course was a must, and those are the cheetos that lured him away from the boxes

And a bubble gun to add to the those cheetos

Oh the hair, I constantly battle with whether we should go ahead and get it cut but I know the curls will be gone and I'm not ready for that yet.

Boy was he happy when daddy joined us at the pool

Since we could walk to Islands of Adventure and Blake has never been Daddy took the day off for some family fun and off we went. We actually ended up getting a year pass since it was such a good deal, so we will be back. The Dr Seuss land was amazing and we had a blast so much fun that we went as soon as we arrived and then back on the way out. The lines were nonexistent since it was a weekday and we had express passes to cut anyway since we stayed at a Universal hotel. This was the second time on the fish ride.

 The kid loves popcorn

Basically I felt like this all day, it was blissfully perfect, and I am coming to realize that honestly I kind of live on Bliss Street ;)

We couldn't not stock up on some Seuss classics

Oh I know Daddy will be so proud to show off that left handed pitching at the ring toss

I can not tell a lie I love Harry Potter, I know Blake and I will be reading the whole series together at night one day, well that's how I envision in my mind anyway.... So I was pretty pumped to be in the Hogwarts! Another does your two year.... Does your two year think everything should be climbed mine does.

YUMMY!!! Hogwarts side note they have a family coaster in there and Blake was tall enough and off we went but boy that was terrifying, there are no straps or anything and it goes fast and gets very leaned over, I was just screaming "oh my gosh hold on to him Babe!" Didn't phase the kid but the hubs and I were not pleased.

Joy all around, watching one of the splash rides come down they both thought it was hysterical

And yes we are those people that pay to squirt you on those rides.

Are y'all tired of these pictures of my boys from behind holding hands? Sorry I can't help myself I just love them!
 Couldn't resist
Dr Seuss water play on the way out

By far Blake's favorite ride, we rode it four times I think just over and over, every time it would stop he would say "More Cat in Hat!!"

This is my first attempt at a self portrait kind of, I used the timer on my camera. It was a moment that we have shared so many times daily but I wanted a picture. Maybe I will get better at these, there are whole websites dedicated to mommy self portraits since we are always behind the camera it's a way to include yourself for those precious memories. The problem is I am so not photogenic and hate pictures of myself.

Blake has decided he will wear sunglasses now

And he works them! This was another bagel morning. It those little things that I treasure so much.

A Perfect Match

This is beyond past due since it was maybe one of my favorite days. Blake is an alpha male as I have shared previously and can be quite the rough and tumble boy so I was a little nervous to go on yet another play date with a friend's child that mine would probably "attack." But wait.... it was a amazing I would say Davis is an alpha male too and they got along great! No knock down drag out fights, no mommies stressed just good plain toddler fun.

Davis' Mommy brought goldfish other wise known as Blakey crack ;)   and they were kind enough to share and we found out Davis and his Mommy were fond of our organic dried strawberries, so we got to share too.
They did have one disagreement but it was more funny than anything, Davis gave it to Blakey and Blakey gave it right back to Davis. A perfect match, but there was no hitting or anything involved just a little pushing and yelling.

 Followed by a forehead kiss

I loved watching Blake actually enjoy another kid, they climbed together

And Blake waited for Davis at the end of the slide and would ask me "where'd he'd going?"

Of course we  couldn't pass up some old school house time and kisses from behind a podium and some piano playing.
It was a great morning and I hope there are many more to come. Thanks Ashley and Davis for the good times.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

It's a strange thing to marry your high school sweetheart, strange in a wonderful way obviously but weird too. You have grown up together, been together your entire adult life and so you have celebrated so many birthdays together. Your relationship spans from the teens, the twenties, and then DUN DUN the freaking thirties (for him not me yet ;) Love ya babe! And it seems almost surreal to realize that a whole decade of age, the 20's,  has gone by.  We are so blessed to have such an amazing life together and you can now really really in a real way envision getting older together because well YOU ARE OLD! Your grown ups and your husband is thirty and its amazing! He is amazing, he has given Blakey and I a great life and works his hiney off to spoil us both rotten. Life can be hard and growing up together and changing can be challenging but it is without a doubt worth every smile and tear and all the stuff in between. He is an awesome father and with the birth of our son I've seen so much of him I know he will pass down and teach our boy and for that I will be forever grateful. Happy Birthday Babe I love you and DAMN you look good for 30 ;)

When he woke up he had this surprise waiting for him

Including his favorite cookie cake which I hid in the garage in a rubbermaid container with already inflated gallons so I could set it up first thing in the morning

Have you noticed my love for Coton colors?

Heres the deal... For months and months we had been planning on spending his big 3 0 in Las Vegas, My mom would keep the kid and off we would go away together with a couple friends. I am not going to lie I have not spent one night away from Blake ever in his whole life and I was half dreading it and half looking forward to it. Ok mostly dreading it.....but this was his birthday wish I was in all the way so can you imagine the joy in my heart when a week before we are to leave he unprovoked says "I don't want to leave Blake without us yet, lets wait until he's a little older" Yet another reason I love him so! But then it set in I have one week to plan something..... so Las Vegas theme surprise party is it! They golf club/restaurant was the perfect place to have it with a separate "party" room and down the street so I could sneak off and set up.

I managed to make this cookies homemade, dough, icing all of it without the hubs knowing exactly what I was to. I will confuse there were only 12 cookies because dang they were labor intensive, especially when it's you first time making and using royal icing. I also made some card garland which I loved!

We had all his favorite Tally peeps there

We had a poker table, cards, chips, a roulette table, a craps table and even fake money which Tori is so gorgeously modeling

Honestly the games didn't really get much play

The only option for cake when it comes to my husband is PUBLIX cake, they did a great job given hardly any notice

Holy Moly I'm in a picture and now you know why I hate them so much

 The boy wore a tie
 And enjoyed the fries

We decided to go out after the party and if this picture doesn't speak a thousand words for the life of parents I don't know what does, moving the stroller around to make room.  Despite my best efforts the birthday boy is just way to smart and figured it out he later told me, but he had no idea of the theme so there! And Las Vegas better watch out this summer!!! Thanks to all that celebrated with us we love y'all!
