YOU BAD BLOGGER YOU!

It's true I am a bad bad blogger, I guess I am not even posting once a month lately, which is so sad since I started this blog in anticipation of us becoming pregnant and sharing our journey with family who are not so close. I am going to try to be better about it and plan on initiating some sort of incentive program for myself. Anyway lets get to it, I am 26 weeks pregnant tomorrow! Oh my goodness I spent the first 14 weeks in such a constant state of worry that it seemed to pass by so SLOW, now the weeks fly by and before we know it we were at our 18 week ultrasound finding out the gender of our first bundle of joy. On that note it's a .........



BOY! I am sure he will be so happy that I have posted a picture of his "who know what", but what can I say his dad is very proud! He was not shy during the photo session, everybody in the office knew it was a boy since the excitement from my husband was evident and I am pretty sure some yells of excitement were heard all over.

This to me was too stinking cute, his little foot which kicks me all day long, and to me every kick seems likes a blessing and I am as excited about the 1,000th kick as I was about the first kick.

Baby's profile, as I am sure all parents think that their child is cute but seriously he's cute! My guess is that he will have his father's lips, full and pouty!

Another profile picture he was quite active during the ultrasound so clear pictures were few and far between. I have the most amazing ultrasound tech, Lori, and she made this ultrasound one of the best experiences of our life. I actually was supposed to go a different tech because of insurance but we love Lori so much we paid out of pocket so we could have her do it. During the ultrasound the funniest thing was that he was in positions that his father and I are notorious for, for example he kept putting his hands behind his head just relaxing I guess which is how his dad sits all the time.

At this point my mom is busy planning my shower (including cupcakes YEA!), I am busy trying to decide on all things baby, strollers, car seats, swings, bedding, nursery decor, etc. The only thing I have ordered is furniture and thank goodness considering my mommy was about to just pick it herself if I didn't order it. She seems to think I will resort back to wedding mode when towards the end I kind of just checked out and couldn't plan or pick one more thing. I keep telling her that this is different this is a baby not a party! I plan on posting some pictures of myself (large and in charge) soon, I really hate pictures of myself in general, and due to that have been very bad about about taking weekly pictures as I hear you are supposed to do, actually I think we have two. But I will buckle down and do it, and hopefully Christina Higman who did the amazing shot (if I don't say so myself) that is featured on this blog, will be able to travel up her soon to do our preganancy portraits.
